| Description |
Leaf: deciduous, up to 20 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, more or less upright, in eraly stage distinctly yellow becoming normal green to dark green but some yellow colouring remains along the margin and apex, base green. Peduncle: 40(-60) cm, green speckled violet, round. Inflorescence: up to 15 cm across, 40-50 flowers, flat, bud opens on 1 side. Pedicel: purple. Flowerbud: dark violet-blue, upright but quickly horizontal. Flower: inside pale violet-blue 91A/B with margin slightly darker with purple blush, midrib dark violet-blue, outside violet-blue with purple blush at margin, base darker, when out of flower dark violet-blue with purple, horizontal, up to 3.5 cm long (tube 1.8 cm long), 2.5 cm across, stamens not exserted, anthers dark violet with yellow pollen. |
